A new bird lifer for me, although not an unusual one I took another trip down the local lane, which leads to a long bumpys track and ultimately over a railway bridge. This place cand be hit and miss for birds.. today wasn’t too bad really.

I went back up to Calke Abbey today for a bit more birding and bird photography. I kinda like it up there, as there is always something at the hides. The birds a little harder to spot around the rest of the park though. https://youtu.be/WYOr9TX3Gwk

Spotted my first Whinchat today ! Admittedly, this isn’t a great pic. It’s *heavily* cropped and sharpened by Topaz. However, it is my first image of a Whinchat !  I was wandering around Tucklesholme Nature Reserve, taking a few pics of the remaining summer warblers and reed buntings, and pointed the camera in the direction

Looking for Yellowhammers in Brankley Pastures, Staffordshire I went on another trip to one of my favourite fields, which I affectionately call the Linnet fields.
